 Bailey’s Bread Pudding

Ingredients

For the Bread Pudding:

6 cups cubed bread (preferably brioche or French bread, slightly stale)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream

3 large eggs

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

1/2 cup raisins or chopped nuts (optional)

For the Bailey’s Sauce:

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup Bailey’s Irish Cream

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Bread Pudding:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Place the cubed bread in the baking dish.

2. Mix the Custard:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, Bailey’s Irish Cream, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes. Gently press the bread down to soak up the liquid.

Add chocolate chips or nuts if desired. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb.

3. Bake:

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.

4. Prepare the Bailey’s Sauce:

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar.

Add the heavy cream and Bailey’s, stirring until smooth.

Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 3–4 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract.

5. Serve:

Drizzle the warm Bailey’s sauce over the bread pudding before serving.

Optional: Top with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
