 Chai Tea Recipe (Masala Chai)

Ingredients:

2 cups water

1 cup milk (or any milk alternative)

2 teaspoons loose black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)

2–3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

2–3 green cardamom pods (lightly crushed)

1 small cinnamon stick

2–3 cloves

1 small piece of fresh ginger (sliced or grated)

1 star anise (optional)

A pinch of black pepper (optional)

Instructions:

1. Boil Spices and Water

Add water to a saucepan.

Add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and other optional spices.

Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to release flavors.

2. Add Tea Leaves

Stir in black tea leaves (or tea bags).

Simmer for 2–3 minutes for a stronger brew.

3. Add Milk and Sweetener

Pour in milk and add sugar to taste.

Let it boil again and simmer for 2–3 minutes while stirring.

4. Strain and Serve

Strain the tea into cups using a fine sieve.

Serve hot and enjoy with biscuits or snacks!

Tips:

Adjust spices based on your preference.

For a richer flavor, use full-fat milk.

Add honey instead of sugar for a healthier option.
