Chai Tea Recipe (Masala Chai)
Ingredients:
• 2 cups water
• 1 cup milk (or any milk alternative)
• 2 teaspoons loose black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
• 2–3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
• 2–3 green cardamom pods (lightly crushed)
• 1 small cinnamon stick
• 2–3 cloves
• 1 small piece of fresh ginger (sliced or grated)
• 1 star anise (optional)
• A pinch of black pepper (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil Spices and Water
• Add water to a saucepan.
• Add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and other optional spices.
• Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to release flavors.
2. Add Tea Leaves
• Stir in black tea leaves (or tea bags).
• Simmer for 2–3 minutes for a stronger brew.
3. Add Milk and Sweetener
• Pour in milk and add sugar to taste.
• Let it boil again and simmer for 2–3 minutes while stirring.
4. Strain and Serve
• Strain the tea into cups using a fine sieve.
• Serve hot and enjoy with biscuits or snacks!
Tips:
• Adjust spices based on your preference.
• For a richer flavor, use full-fat milk.
• Add honey instead of sugar for a healthier option.
