cheese chicken burger recipe
Ingredients
For the Chicken Patties:
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
• 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
For Assembly:
• 4 burger buns
• 4 slices of cheddar or mozzarella cheese
• Lettuce leaves
• Tomato slices
• Onion rings
• Mayonnaise, ketchup, or mustard
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken Patties:
• In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
• Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties.
2. Cook the Patties:
• Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the surface.
• Cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C).
3. Melt the Cheese:
• Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking and cover the pan to melt the cheese.
4. Assemble the Burger:
• Toast the burger buns lightly.
• Spread mayonnaise or your preferred sauce on the bottom bun.
• Add lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings.
• Place the cheesy chicken patty on top and add more sauce if desired.
• Close with the top bun.
5. Serve:
• Serve with fries, coleslaw, or a side salad.
