Italian Cheese Chicken Pizza
Ingredients
For the Dough:
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup warm water
• 2 tbsp olive oil
For the Toppings:
• 1 cup cooked chicken (grilled or shredded)
• 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
• ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
• ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
• ½ cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
• ½ cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
• ¼ cup black olives, sliced (optional)
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp dried basil
• Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough:
• In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
• Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
• Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
2. Preheat Oven:
• Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
3. Roll Out the Dough:
• Punch down the dough and roll it into a 12-inch circle. Place it on a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
4. Add Sauce and Toppings:
• Spread marinara or pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
• Sprinkle half the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
• Add cooked chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, and olives.
• Top with the remaining cheese and sprinkle oregano and basil.
5. Bake:
• Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
6. Garnish and Serve:
• Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
